Over the years I have dedicated a lot of my time to personal investigative projects both in the UK and around the world, the results of which have been published in the national and international press. I have investigated miscarriages of justice in the UK penal system, unsafe working practices in heavy industry, financial mismanagement in public and private sector organisations, the prolonged effect of the catastrophic gas leak on the lives of the people living near the former Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, India, as well as the effect of the separation barrier and Israeli settlements on the lives of the Palestinians. A selection of the work I have had published is reproduced here, please click on the links to the right.
I am currently working on a long-term photojournalism project on asbestos, photographing sufferers of asbestos-related diseases in the UK and developing countries such as India, where use of the material – and ignorance of its hazards – are both widespread.
If anyone has any views on this topic – or if you can offer any help – please get in touch. Similarly, if anyone would like to suggest an issue that has been neglected in the press and should be investigated more thoroughly, please email me the details. |
